Archimedes Fontanini, after serving his 3 years in the Italian army at the Boxer Rebellion, essentially flipped a coin and ended up here, digging and hand-cementing a spring to turn it into the oasis that all of Manjimup, and us, are grateful for.

Rolf went to Perth Mod School with Wendy.
Here he is back in the day when he was not famous nor infamous. This 1963 “To Tell the Truth” clip is fascinating for the well-clipped diction, the well-clipped facial hair, and the fact that no-one knows what Rolf Harris looks like.
